Hi! My name is Denise and I am a school-based speech-language therapist in the Maricopa Unified School District. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston, a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and am currently working on my Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences through California State University. Through my district, I have tutored students in reading, reading comprehension, and writing with great success. I have also tutored high school and college students to improve their professional writing ability. In a former life, I also dabbled in technical writing. I am Mom to three grown children, 28, 25 and 22, and Grandma to one 2-year-old grandson. I'm originally from Houston and have been in the valley since 2006.

Hello, my name is Lara Aellen and I have been in education for 15 years. I have taught grades 3-8 and most recently have been an administrator at the middle and high school levels before taking a break to raise my little boy Noah. I love motivating children to learn and grow to their highest potential.
When not tutoring part time, I enjoy MOPS, and spending time with my husband, Paul and cat, Petey. We have been in Arizona for the past four years and just love it. We moved from Maryland and gave away our snow shovels and lawn mowers to the next door neighbors

Hi, My name is Deborah and I have been tutoring with Smart Move for about 3 years now. I have really enjoyed being able to have a part in helping children overcome struggles that are making it difficult for them to progress in their learning.( It's also fun to work with kids who want to soar ahead and just need a launching pad!) It's obvious to me (and hopefully to those who know me) that God wants me in this area of work. He has given me such a heart for kids and allowed me to work with them in many different ways over the past 9 years. I am so thankful. I recently received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and currently teach at Wee Blessings Preschool as the 3's teacher. I absolutely love it! Also, on a personal note, I'm busy right now planning my wedding! Only a couple more months... Exciting times!
